For three generations, Les Résidences funéraires Goyer has been serving families with dedication and compassion. Entirely Quebec-owned and deeply involved in the community, the company was founded in Saint-Eustache by Roméo Goyer and today employs over 50 people. Nearly 60 years later, the same deeply human approach endures: providing guidance and support with respect, attentiveness, and trust.
In 2017, Groupe Goyer acquired Maison Trudel Inc., founded in Saint-Jérôme in 1880. This acquisition preserved its family-oriented, Quebecois character. Today, our personalized services are available across ten locations in Laval and the Laurentians.

René Goyer
A graduate of the Institute of Thanatology and president of Les Résidences funéraires Goyer, he has led the family business since 1979, which his father, Roméo Goyer, founded in 1969. Supported by his spouse and three children, he oversees operations and actively manages the company’s administration and management.
Diane Goyer
A partner with her spouse from the very beginning, she joined the company actively in 1985. Since retiring in 2023, she continues to support her family in growing the family business.
Geneviève Goyer
Geneviève, a graduate in Thanatology from Collège Rosemont with a Bachelor’s degree in Management from HEC Montréal, joined the family business in 2002. She manages operations, advises families, and oversees key administrative functions within the organization.
Jonathan Goyer
Jonathan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from the University of Sherbrooke, as well as the Family Advisor Certification from the Corporation of Thanatologists of Quebec. Since 2007, he has guided families through funeral planning and services while overseeing key aspects of the company’s operations. He also played a key role in developing the procedures that earned the company BNQ certification in 2012.
Benoit Goyer
A graduate of HEC Montréal, Benoit manages the company’s financial operations. He oversees the upkeep of physical facilities while supporting the company’s day-to-day operations.
