Teresa Fekete (born Cichon)
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Teresa (Terry) Cichon Fekete, beloved wife of the late Ernest Tibor Fekete. Terry was the loving mother of Ernest Jr. and Audry (Steven Bracken). Proud and devoted Babcia to Robert (Roza), Michelle (Matthew), and Thomas (Areli), and cherished great-grandmother (Bubie) of Noah and Ian Bracken. Terry was the loving sister of Mira Jerzyk and Marianne Hunstead, and was predeceased by her sister, Josie Moskwa, and her brother, John Cichon.
Born in Germany to a Polish family, Terry spent her early childhood in Belgium before immigrating to Canada at the age of 12. She became involved in the Hungarian community through her husband and remained a devoted supporter of its cultural and spiritual life throughout the years.
Terry served as a board member of the Magor Foundation Inc. and was an active member and representative of the Hungarian United Church. She also dedicated many years to volunteering with Jeunesse au Soleil (Sun Youth) in Montréal.
A memorial service will be held at the Hungarian United Church, 50 Graham Boulevard, Mount Royal, QC H3P 2C1, on Saturday July 4,2026 , at 11:00 a.m. A reception in the church hall will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hungarian United Church, Sun Youth, or a charity of your choice.
Terry will be remembered for her kindness and generosity, dedication to her family and friends, and the commitment to the community. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
